Tsuburaya Fields Holdings Inc. is a Japan-based corporate group engaged in entertainment and content businesses, globally recognized for managing well-known franchises such as Ultraman and Evangelion, in addition to its broader activities in licensing and content production.
The Decision to Implement NewCommunicator
Tsuburaya Fields Holdings had traditionally shared internal information through their internal portal and company-wide emails. However, they faced ongoing challenges with low open rates and difficulty ensuring that important messages actually reached employees. While their previous groupware system offered useful operational features such as approval workflows, it still fell short in achieving their core goal: reliably delivering information to all employees.
During their search for a solution—prompted by a simple Google search for “company-wide Teams broadcast”—they discovered NewCommunicator. Designed specifically to ensure reliable message delivery within Microsoft Teams, NewCommunicator stood out as a strong candidate to address this long-standing challenge. The decision to move forward was further supported by the announcement that Microsoft’s open-source solution, Company Communicator, would reach end of support in March 2025.
From an operational perspective, the organization envisioned multiple departments—Information Systems, General Affairs, HR, IR, and Sales—acting as message senders for approximately 1,000 employees across the company.
NewCommunicator supports this structure through its Sender Group Management functionality, which allows administrators to create multiple sender groups within a single app. Draft messages and distribution analytics are visible only within each respective group, helping maintain clear boundaries and governance between teams.
In addition, the Pro Plan allows organizations to configure up to five additional dedicated chats for internal communications, based on the sender department or message purpose. This enables multiple departments to use the same application while ensuring that employees receive messages in clearly separated, department-specific channels, significantly improving clarity and usability. These capabilities played a key role in Tsuburaya Fields Holdings’ decision to adopt the Pro Plan.

By inserting variables such as a recipient’s name or other individual attributes into a message, even large-scale broadcasts can feel like they were sent directly to each person. This marks an important first step toward truly personalized internal communication. The feature is available across all plans.
