Modernizing and Unifying Internal Communications
We are pleased to announce that Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. ("Tokio Marine & Nichido") has adopted NewCommunicator to strengthen and streamline internal communications across approximately 40,000 employees, including group companies.
By adopting NewCommunicator, Tokio Marine & Nichido successfully consolidated its existing communication systems into a single platform, enabling fast, secure, and reliable company-wide communications at scale.

Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. is one of Japan’s leading insurance companies, providing a wide range of insurance products and services while supporting a large employee network across Tokio Marine Group companies.
The Decision to Implement NewCommunicator
Prior to implementing NewCommunicator, Tokio Marine & Nichido relied on separate tools to support different communication needs across the organization.
An internally developed broadcast application was used for urgent notifications, such as system maintenance announcements and other high-priority communications requiring company-wide awareness.
In parallel, a Microsoft Teams-based open-source communication solution was used for executive messages, important internal news, and company-wide announcements that were important but less time-sensitive. It also served as an alternative communication channel for urgent communications when the broadcast system was unavailable.
As both systems approached end-of-support, the organization saw an opportunity not only to replace existing tools, but also to simplify and consolidate its broader communication environment.
Following an evaluation of multiple solutions, NewCommunicator was selected for its ability to support both urgent and non-urgent communications through a single platform, its strong integration with Microsoft Teams as an established internal communication environment, and its advanced distribution and governance capabilities.
Moving Beyond a Simple Replacement
"Initially, we approached this as a search for a replacement product, but NewCommunicator turned out to be much more than that. It provided an opportunity to further strengthen and enhance how we manage internal communications. Features such as the ability to properly control distribution targets and permissions, along with visibility into communication results, have helped improve the overall quality of our information delivery.
As part of the implementation process, we conducted multiple rounds of security assessments and comprehensively reviewed the platform’s approach to handling personal information and overall operational security. Throughout this process, we highly valued Communitio’s responsiveness and commitment to strengthening security from both design and operational perspectives.
Today, we are delivering an average of approximately 15 communications per month to around 40,000 employees with stable operations, while maintaining consistently strong engagement levels across distributed content. Going forward, we hope to continue leveraging NewCommunicator to ensure that information reliably reaches each employee across our organization."
